HiCEFT’s mission is to mālama (nurture) secure connections, promote learning, and provide resources for the public (individuals, couples, families) and mental health professionals throughout the state of Hawai’i. The traditional Hawaiian values of Aloha, Pono, ‘Ike Loa, ‘Ohana and Laulima envelop the heart of HiCEFT.
Aloha (always live with love) HiCEFT embraces the spirit of aloha to share warmth, compassion, mercy and acceptance in which each person is important to every other person for collective existence.
Pono (live righteously and authentically) HiCEFT strives to help people find balance and harmony within themselves as well as in their relationship with others. We strive to promote safety through accessibility, responsiveness and engagement with one another.
‘Ike Loa (we learn and seek knowledge) HiCEFT seeks to connect EFT learners to quality training, supervision, and support to develop their clinical skills in the practice of EFT.
‘Ohana (we are all connected) HiCEFT aims to mālama secure connections in Hawai’i through the practice of EFT with individuals, couples, and families. HiCEFT also seeks to create a sense of family within the local EFT community, by offering a safe space for EFT learners to seek support from each other.
Laulima (we work together in harmony) HiCEFT aspires to support the local community by providing the public with relevant resources and easier access to providers trained in the EFT framework.
